Turkish specialty steel producer Asil Celik A.S. (Asil Celik) has announced its financial results for 2012.
In 2012, Asil Celik saw a net profit of TRY 22.5 million ($12.4 million), down 66.9 percent compared to the previous year. Sales revenues of the company decreased by 15.2 percent year on year to TRY 527.11 million ($289.7 million). The company registered an operating profit of TRY 30.61 million ($16.8 million) in 2012, down 66.5 percent year on year.
In the given year, Asil Celik produced 321,134 mt of liquid steel, decreasing by 20 percent compared to 2011. In 2012, the company's rolled steel output at its large section rolling mill amounted to 164,365 mt, down 29 percent, while rolled steel output at its medium section rolling mill was 133,951 mt, up 12 percent, both year on year.
