Turkey’s 11-month automotive exports up

Led by passenger car exports totaling $3.92 billion, Turkey's automotive exports rose 21.5 percent year on year to $11.5 billion in the first eleven months of the year. Looking at November alone, however, the news is not as encouraging. Based off of previously reported October exports of $1.11 billion, November exports were down 17 percent month on month and three percent year on year at $919 million. For the January-November 2005 period, the Turkish automotive sector exported to a total of 177 countries and self-governing territories, as well as 15 free zones.
