Turkey no longer exempt from Thai safeguard measure on HR flat steel

Turkey's Ministry of Economy has announced that Turkey is no longer exempt from Thailand's safeguard measure on hot rolled steel flat products with certain amounts of alloying elements.
 
On September 25, 2013, Thailand imposed a safeguard measure for the products in question with duty rates of 44.20 percent for September 15, 2013-February 26, 2014, 43.57 percent for February 27, 2014-February 26, 2015 and 42.95 percent for February 27, 2015-February 26, 2016. Turkey was exempt from the definitive safeguard measure.
 
The goods subject to safeguard measure currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7225.30, 7225.40 and 7226.91.
