Turkey introduces duty free import quota for stainless cold rolled sheet

According to a ministerial decree published in Turkey's Official Gazette, the Turkish government has introduced a duty free quota for stainless cold rolled sheet imports.
 
Accordingly, by the end of 2015, a maximum of 60,000 mt of stainless cold rolled sheet is allowed to be imported without paying any import duties. The importers are required to obtain an import license from the Ministry of Economy to benefit from this tariff quota.
 
An import duty of eight percent is in force for the products in question as of October 2013.
 
The products that are subject to tariff quota fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers7219.31.00.00.00, 7219.32.10.00.00, 7219.32.90.00.00, 7219.33.10.00.00, 7219.33.90.00.00, 7219.34.10.00.00, 7219.34.90.00.00, 7219.35.10.00.00, 7219.35.90.00.00, 7220.20.21.00.11, 7220.20.29.00.11, 7220.20.41.00.11, 7220.20.49.00.11, 7220.20.81.00.11 and 7220.20.89.00.11.
