Turkey hikes electricity and gas prices for industry amid rising costs

Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) have announced that electricity and natural gas prices in Turkey have increased, effective April 4, 2026.

According to the EPDK, electricity prices have increased by 25 percent for households, by 17.5 percent for the public and services sectors, by 5.8 percent for industry and by 24.8 percent for agricultural activities, due to the increase recorded in electricity production and distribution costs.

BOTAŞ stated that it has hiked natural gas prices for industrial users by 18.61 percent on average and by 19.42 percent for electricity production plants.
