Tunisia to increase customs duty rates for Turkey as of January 1

Turkey’s Ministry of Economy has announced that within the framework of 2018 Budget Law, Tunisia's Ministry of Commerce will increase its customs duty rates for Turkey, including steel products, starting from January 1, 2018. Accordingly, the most favored nation (MFN) rate has been increased to 30 percent from 20 percent.

Corresponding to 11.7 percent of imports from Turkey, the tax rates for the years 2018 and 2019 for the products on the list of No. 2 of the Tunisia-Turkey Free Trade Agreement will be increased and these rates will be reduced every year and will be zero as of 2022.
