TISCO has increased its H1 output by 10%
According to recent statement released from Tata Iron and Steel Corp (TISCO), the company with an increase by 10% has posted 2.01 million saleable steel in the first half of the fiscal year 2003-2004, compared with 1.83 million tons recorded in the same period of last fiscal. In the same period, TISCO's hot metal and crude steel production are recorded as 2.23 million tons and 2.11 million tons, compared to same period of last fiscal figures of 2.07 million tons and 1.91 million tons respectively. Furthermore, exports have exceeded 300'000 tons. The officials from TISCO stated that, these record production figures are achieved through strong domestic sales and exports, while the experts think that, company's well-balanced product mix, its branding efforts and synergistic partnership with its customer enabled the production to increase. In the first half of the current fiscal, total steel sales of the company, with flat products sale of 1.29 million tons and long products sales of 630'000 tons, have reached up to 1.92 million tons. The company, producing 4.1 million tons in fiscal 2002-2003, is expected to end up this fiscal with better figures.TISCO has increased its H1 output by 10%
