ThyssenKrupp announces creation of ThyssenKrupp MetalServ

On December 2 German steel and industrial group ThyssenKrupp announced that it has reorganized and merged its central domestic materials trading business activities under a new company, namely, ThyssenKrupp MetalServ GmbH.

Accordingly, ThyssenKrupp MetalServ employs a workforce of around 800 throughout Germany, and provides logistics and services for production materials such as stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, pipes and tubes. The new company includes the central stainless steel and non-ferrous metal warehouses, the stainless and aluminum service centers, the central pipe/tube warehouses, Stahlkontor Hahn, and the fittings center DAZ (Das Armaturenzentrum), which together generate a sales volume of about €1 billion.

In cooperation with numerous affiliates, ThyssenKrupp MetalServ, the product range of which covers over 100,000 items available ex-warehouse, serves customers in all European markets and specifically materials processors in industry, crafts and construction.
