Three South Korean CR mills import 119,000 mt of HR products in Nov

According to the National Statistical Office of South Korea, three major domestic cold rolled steel producers Dongbu Steel, Union Steel and Hyundai Hysco imported 119,000 mt of hot rolled steel in November this year, up by 3.9 percent month on month, but down 54.8 percent year on year.
 
Of this volume, 25,000 mt was imported from China, decreasing by 31 percent compared to last month and down 16.1 percent from the same month last year, 76,000 mt was imported from Japan, up 16.8 percent month on month and down 626,000 mt year on year, while the remaining 18,000 mt was imported from other countries, up 40.6 percent month on month and down by 41.2 percent year on year.
