Thailand's automobile export volume declined by 7.1 percent year on year to 72,270 units in August this year, down in value by 9.4 percent to Thai Baht 31.67 billion ($1.02 billion).
According to the Bangkok Post, the reason for the export decline is not that Thailand's automobile producers are unsuccessful in exports but rather that they are focusing on domestic demand
