Mexican steelmaker Ternium Mexico said it has commenced maintenance works at its Puebla mill, which produces rebar, wire rod and round bar for the civil construction and industrial sectors. Products include high-carbon, low-carbon and micro-alloyed wire rod.

Ternium Mexico said it is investing $23.5 million in maintenance repairs at the Puebla longs mill, including final works to start up the mill’s smoke and dust aspiration system.

Ternium Mexico said the aspiration system is the region’s largest environmental project. The company did not provide a specific timeline for completing the project.
