In January this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 18.2 percent year on year to 1.9 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 10.1 percent year on year to $1.4 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
In January, Turkey's long steel exports fell by 3.3 percent to 917,000 mt, while its flat steel exports increased by 57 percent to 541,000 mt, both on year-on-year basis. In the same month, the country’s semi-finished steel exports rose by 228.3 percent to 192,000 mt, year on year.
