Tata Steel UK, subsidiary of Indian steel producer Tata Steel, has announced that it has delivered its first Optemis® Carbon Lite steel, to German infrastructure supplier Boecker Stahl-Service, in line with its decarbonization targets.

Accordingly, the company has supplied 22 metric tons of hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel with 85 percent carbon reduction to Boecker Stahl-Service to be used in cable tray systems used in major infrastructure projects with a lower carbon content.

Tata Steel UK aims to reduce carbon emission by at least 30 percent by 2030 and achieve carbon-neutral steelmaking by 2045.
