Tata Steel sets up steel service center in Odisha for construction sector

India’s Tata Steel Limited has set up a fully-automated steel service center for the construction industry in the eastern state of Odisha, a company statement said on Monday, July 3.

The company said that the service center set up in collaboration with Sagar Business has a capacity of 3,000 mt per month to produce customized rebars, couplers, and threaded and welded wire mesh for the construction industry.

The aim is to offer a one-stop solution for the entire range of products for the construction sector with capabilities of customizing each product to the specification of the user.

Ashish Anupam, chairperson, marketing & sales, long products, Tata Steel said construction is one of the key sectors driving steel consumption, and automation in construction is the transformative force that will propel the industry towards unparalleled growth with a new agility.
