Tata Steel Europe, subsidiary of Indian steel producer Tata Steel, has asked the workers union at its Dutch steel plant to negotiate in order to end the strike at the plant, according to media reports. The ongoing relay strikes at the IJmuiden plant threaten the company’s performance amid the impact of lower steel demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic, SteelOrbis understands.
However, the Dutch workers union FNV has not responded to the request for negotiations yet.
