Tata Metaliks to invest $78 million in expansion

Tata Metaliks announced an investment of Rs 555 crore (US $78.4 milllion) to expand capacity, which will double DIP production from 2.0 LTPA (200,000 mt annually) to 4.0 LTPA (400,000 mt annually) along with augmentation of the mini blast furnace capacity presently at 0.5 million mt and installation of a new 15 MW power plant.

With this expansion, the product mix of DIP would be enhanced up to 1,200 mm diameter pipes. The present DIP product range is from 80 mm to 800 mm diameter.
