Tata Metaliks to enter steel business

According to recent news in the market, Tata Metaliks is planning to enter steel making business and to produce automobile casting products. Moreover the company considers increasing its pig iron production capacity through acquiring steel mills in India. Tata Metaliks has also teamed up with Tata Iron and Steel Corp (TISCO) to develop coke project in Haldia worth Rupees 5 billion ($108 million). Tata Metaliks officials stated that the company has further plans regarding capacity expansion the details of which are to be revealed later on.
