SAIL’s IISCO plant sees 2.4 percent rise in pig iron output in April-June

The IISCO Steel Plant of Indian state-run steelmaker Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) produced 533,360 mt of pig iron in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (started April 1), up 2.4 percent year on year, according to a company statement.

Total finished steel production by the IISCO Plant amounted to 476,653 mt in the April-June period this year, up three percent year on year, the statement said.
