Tangshan Steel continues price hike for February, too

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 31, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Steel announced its ex-factory prices for February. The details are as follows: 1. HR coils HR coil prices have increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt) compared to January levels. As a result, the ex-factory price of Q235 2.75 mm is now at RMB 4,030/mt ($519/mt), while that of 5.75 mm is at RMB 3,900/mt ($502/mt). 2. CR coils CR coil prices have increased RMB 200/mt ($26/mt). Consequently, the price of SPCC 1.0 mm is now at RMB 4,700/mt ($605/mt). 3. Rebar Rebar prices have seen a rise of RMB 200/mt ($26/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 16-25 mm diameter HRB335 is at RMB 3,200/mt ($412/mt), that of 12-14 mm diameter HRB335 is at RMB 3,300/mt ($425/mt), the price of 16-25 mm diameter HRB400 is at RMB 3,300/mt ($425/mt), while that of 12-14 mm diameter HRB400 is at RMB 3,400/mt ($438/mt). 4. Wire rod WR prices have risen by RMB 230/mt ($30/mt). The new price of 6.5 mm diameter high speed wire rod is at RMB 3,230/mt ($416/mt). All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 31, 2007.
