On July 31, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Iron & Steel Group (Tanggang) released its August ex-factory prices for HR and CR. The details are as follows:
1. HRC
Prices have remained unchanged from June levels. Thus, the ex-factory price of Q235 of 2.75 mm thickness is RMB 3,930/mt ($519/mt), while that of Q235 of 5.5 mm thickness is RMB 3,800/mt ($499/mt).
2. CRC
Prices have been reduced by RMB 300/mt ($40/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of SPCC of 1.0 mm thickness is RMB 4,400/mt ($581/mt).
3. Full Hard
Prices have decreased RMB 200/mt ($26/mt). As a result, the new price of SPCC of 1.0 mm thickness is RMB 4,000/mt ($528/mt).
All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of August 1, 2007.
