On December 14, Anshan-ThyssenKrupp Galvanized Steel Sheet Company (TAGAL), jointly established by Anshan Iron and Steel Group and ThyssenKrupp Iron and Steel Group, carried out successful hot run tests of its second production line, which will enable the company to produce 800,000 metric tons per year of hot galvanized steel sheets for high-end application in the automobile and white goods sectors.

The first production line of the company was put into production on December 4, 2003, and reached an annual production capacity of 400,000 metric tons by 2005. As the steel sheets produced by the manufacturer are destined for the automobile and household appliance sectors, the company has established long-term strategic cooperation with many automobile manufacturers and household appliance producers. The producer states that with its high technological levels its products have won the approbation of customers both at home and abroad.
