SUEK produces 96.5 million mt of coal in 2013

Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Russia's largest coal producing corporation, has announced that it produced 96.5 million mt of coal in 2013, up one percent year on year.

In 2013, SUEK's sales volume rose by one percent year on year to 92.6 million mt of coal. Its coal sales to the international market went up by nine percent year on year to 42.4 million mt. Its major international markets are China, the UK, South Korea, Japan and Germany.

As much as 50.2 million mt of coal was sold to consumers within Russia, down five percent year on year, with 37.3 million mt of this volume shipped to electric power-generating facilities.
