Steelmakers in Hebei see aggregate net profit of RMB 3.544 billion in H1

The Metallurgical Industry Association of China's Hebei Province has announced that in the first half of the current year its steel producing member enterprises (66 enterprises in total) recorded main business revenues of RMB 368.642 billion ($58.15 billion) and an aggregate net profit of RMB 3.544 billion ($558.99 million). This profit figure was RMB 1.159 billion ($182.81 million) higher than that recorded by the 74 member enterprises of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) for the same period.

In addition, in the first half of the current year the finished steel export volume from Hebei Province accounted for 20 percent of the total finished steel export volume of China, ranking first among provinces in China. The value of the finished steel exports from Hebei in the given period accounted for 16.12 percent of China's total domestic finished steel export value for the period, ranking second in China.
