Steel exports from Tangshan area in Jan-Oct total $665 million in value

In the first 10 months of the current year, steel products exported from the Tangshan area in China's Hebei Province reached a volume of 1.063 million mt, earning revenues of $665 million (RMB 4.229 billion), according to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
 
The volume of cold rolled steel exports from the Tangshan area in the January-October period this year totaled over 930,000 mt, which is over 80 percent of the area's total steel exports for the period and which is almost double the cold rolled steel export volume for the whole of last year. The cold rolled steel export volume from Tangshan is expected to break 1 million mt for the current year.
 
At present, the annual steel output capacity of the Tangshan area in Hebei exceeds 70 million mt, accounting for 10 percent of overall Chinese domestic steel output capacity.
