SSWL to inaugurate Jamshedpur truck wheel plant on July 19

Indian steel rim producer Steel Strips Wheels Limited (SSWL) has announced that its truck wheels manufacturing plant in Jamshedpur will be inaugurated on July 19, 2010 by Mr. HM Nerurkar, managing director of Tata Steel Ltd.

This plant will have an initial capacity of one million wheel rims which will be upgraded to two million in mid-2011, the company said, adding that the main customers of the plant will be Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and the export markets in Japan and Europe.

 With this expansion the company expects to be the number one automobile wheel manufacturer in India by early next year.
