SSWL starts supplying wheels rims to Tata Motors from its Jamshepur plant

On December 30, Indian steel rim producer Steel Strips Wheels Ltd (SSWL) announced that it has started the regular supply of steel wheel rims to Tata Motors Limited, India's largest automobile producer and a part of Tata Group, from its newly established Jamshedpur manufacturing facility in Jharkhand, India, from December 14 on.

The third plant of SSWL was inaugurated in July 2010 with an initial capacity of one million wheel rims which will be upgraded to two million in mid-2011. The main customers of the plant are Ashok Leyland and the export markets in Japan and Europe, in addition to Tata Motors.
