SSAB acquires JL Steel Service in Scotland

Swedish specialty steel producer SSAB has announced that it is acquiring JL Steel Services Ltd (JL Steel) in Stirling, Scotland, as part of its strategy of developing its local aftermarket services offering to its customers.  JL Steel specializes in the manufacture and installation of wear parts and in repair services for customers within the mining, quarrying and recycling sectors in Scotland and northern England.
 
SSAB said that the purchase is a way of strengthening the company's customer relations and enhancing services, adding that JL Steel will be a flagship for SSAB's expanded product and service offering to end customers in the region.
