Spain's industrial price index in April increased by 3.1 percent year on year, with this growth down 1.4 percentage points compared to the revised year-on-year increase rate for the preceding month, according to the Spanish national statistics office (INE). Spain's industrial price index declined by 0.8 percent on month-on-month basis in April.
In detail, the year-on-year increase consisted of 0.7 percent for capital goods, 1.1 percent for intermediate goods, 1.4 percent for durable consumer goods, 1.6 percent for non-durable consumer goods and nine percent for energy.
In April, the industrial price index in the field of base metals manufacturing in Spain stood at 132.6 points, down one percent month on month and down 3.4 percent year on year. The industrial price index in the field of metal products manufacturing, excluding plants and machines, reached 119.6 points, up 0.1 percent month on month and rising by 0.5 percent year on year.
