Spain’s crude steel output in June down 15.7 percent over May

According to the data provided by the Spanish steel producers' association Unesid, Spain's crude steel output in June amounted to 1.4 million mt, increasing by 16.7 percent year on year, but down 15.7 percent as compared to May this year.
 
Meanwhile, in the first half of 2010 Spain's crude steel production increased by 30.6 percent, as compared to the low levels of 2009, totaling 8.8 million metric tons. Unesid noted that the production volume in the first half of 2010 was comparable to 2004 levels.
