Southern Kuzbass Coal Co. exceeds coal output target in April

In April this year, Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, a subsidiary of the Russian mining and steel producing group Mechel, produced 1.137 million mt of coal, three percent higher than the targeted volume.

In January-April, Southern Kuzbass Coal Company's coal output exceeded 4.381 million mt, up nine percent over January-April 2010, including 2,348 million mt of coking coal, up eight percent year on year.
