SteelOrbis Shanghai This week, the market prices of color coated coils remained stable, while some steel mills adjusted their color coated coil ex-factory prices. The market demand has not increased much this week, however the supply of new products was also low; therefore, market inventories did not increase much. Color coated coil imports in February were 26,600 metric tons, up 2,800 metric tons month on month. Meanwhile color coated coil exports increased 8,000 metric tons month on month to 21,400 metric tons in February. Consequently, net import of color coated coils was 5,200 metric tons in February, down 10,400 metric tons compared with January. This week, Shenzhen Huamei increased its color coated coil ex-factory prices RMB 100/mt ($12), and Angang Steel increased RMB 200/mt ($25). Currently, the market prices of color coated coils are in a steady period. Traders hope market demand to pick up as May Day approaches.
