Shouguang Juneng Special Steel completes hot test on finishing units

A successful hot run test was carried out on January 14 on finishing units for the large-sized alloy steel bar line of Shandong-based Chinese steel producer Shouguang Juneng Special Steel Co., as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC) on January 16. The new finishing units, 27 in total, were supplied by MCC subsidiary Chongqing-based CISDI Group Co. The units include a NHCD950 short stress path rolling mill capable of rolling steel bars with large diameters.
 
Shouguang Juneng Special Steel is the largest special steel producer in Shandong Province. With the new finishing units, it will be able to produce high quality steel bars in a diameter range of 60-300 mm and steel billets with specifications of 150 mm × 150 mm and 180 mm × 220 mm, with an overall designed annual output capacity of 800,000 mt.
