In February this year Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang produced 359,700 mt of pig iron, 355300 mt of semi-finished steel, 325,900 mt of HRC, 18,400 mt of CRC, and 189,400 mt of coke.
The February iron output exceeded targets to reach 16,700 mt, with blast furnace utilization at 2.33 meltings a day and coke consumption at 288kg per metric ton of steel. Slab output reached 12,300 mt, while the special steel output amounted to 173,900mt. The pickling line output was 96,100mt, 8.2 percent above target; the continuous annealing line output was 61,000mt, 1.7 percent above target; the galvanizing line output was 26,500 mt, 32.5 percent above target. The M40 coke quality reached 90.4 percent, 1.4 percent over the target, while M10 coke quality reached 5.9 percent, 0.9 percent short of the target.
