Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Shi Steel has successfully carried out trial
production of A4330 steel for KD grade sucker rods. The product in question possesses the properties of both K and D grades of sucker rod, namely good resistance to corrosion and good mechanical properties. Market prices of the product exceed RMB 10,000/mt ($1,574.8/mt).
The successfully trial
production of A4330 steel is expected to lay a foundation for Shi Steel to develop
production of steel for nickel-plated sucker rods.
