Shanxi Coking Coal sees sharp surge in net profit for Q1

Shanxi Province-based Chinese company Shanxi Coking Coal Co. Ltd (Shanxi Coking Coal) has announced that in the first quarter this year it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 1.802 billion ($0.28 billion), up 49.29 percent year on year, and a net profit of RMB 343.5 million ($54.0 million), compared to a net profit of RMB 12.99 million in the first quarter last year.

In the first quarter this year, Shanxi Coking Coal’s coke sales amounted to 729,500 mt, up by 139,600 mt or 23.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Shanxi Coking Coal said that it expects that its net profit in the first half of the current year will indicate a sharp rise compared to the first half last year.
