Shanxi Coking Coal Group sees sharp surge in gross profit in 2017

Shanxi Province-based Chinese coal company Shanxi Coking Coal Group has announced that in 2017 it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 153.0 billion ($23.2 billion), exceeding its original target of RMB 130.0 billion ($20.6 billion) for the given year, and recorded a gross profit of RMB 2.6 billion ($0.41 billion), up almost nine-fold year on year.

In 2017, Shanxi Coking Coal Group produced 96.10 million mt of raw coal, 45.17 million mt of coking coal and 9.43 million mt of coke, up 5.0 percent, up 4.8 percent and 1.6 percent respectively, year on year.
