Severstal targets higher production in 2008

The Russian steel producer Severstal has announced that it is expecting to achieve increases in production of all its division by end of 2008.

The targets for production are set at the following levels: coal - 2.7 million mt, coking coal concentrate - 4.6 million mt, iron ore concentrate - 4.9 million mt, pellets - 10.3 million mt, crude steel - 23 million mt and finished steel products - 21.9 million mt.
