Russia-based Severstal has reportedly put its North American operations up for sale, which includes two plants in Michigan and Mississippi. Some financial experts believe the sale could total up to $1.5 billion or more.

According to a Wall Street Journal article, two potential buyers include US Steel and Brazilian-based Companhia Siderurgica Nacional SA (CSN).
