In 2010, Russian steel plant Serov Steel Works, subsidiary of Russia-based Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), recorded a net profit of about Ruble 148 million ($5.3 million) compared to a net loss of Ruble 1.7 billion in 2009. In 2010, the sales revenues of the company increased by 1.5 times year on year to Ruble 11.1 billion ($0.4 billion).
According to the 2010 results, Serov Steel Works produced 477,000 mt of rolled steel, up 30 percent compared to 2009.
