Senior VP and CFO of AK Steel retires

West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel announced Tuesday that Albert E. Ferrara, Jr. has announced his retirement from the company, effective August 31, 2013. For more than a decade, Ferrara has served AK Steel principally as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and, most recently, as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations. 

Ferrara served the steel industry for more than 40 years, and joined AK Steel in June 2003. Prior to his AK Steel career, he held a number of executive-level positions with NS Group, USX Corporation and United States Steel Corporation.
