According to preliminary data for February 2007, Ilyich received 59,100 metric tons of
scrap of the 60,000 metric tons initially projected, thus filling 98.5 percent of the plant's
scrap requirements. Supplies of
scrap to
Zaporizhstal in February were 28.9 percent less than the plant's projected monthly needs of 70,000 metric tons, totaling 41,100 metric tons. Enakievsk MZ during the same period received 45,900 metric tons of
scrap - showing a 19.5 percent shortage compared to its expected requirements. Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih obtained 47,700 metric tons of
scrap during the second month of 2007 -33.3 percent less than its planned
consumption of 81,000 metric tons. Alchevsk received 0.8 percent more
scrap than its planned
consumption of 62,000 metric tons. The February supplies of
scrap to the mill totaled 62,800 metric tons. Istil received 77,200 metric tons of
scrap in February 2007, below its projected requirements of 90,000 metric tons by 12.8 percent. Azovstal received 30.1 percent less
scrap than its planned volume of deliveries for February 2007 – 50,000 metric tons. The
scrap supplies to the plant totaled 28,100 metric tons. Makeevsk received only 27,100 metric tons of
scrap in February 2007 – 11.9 percent less than the mill's needs of 40,000 metric tons.
