The finance ministry of South Korea has approved the extension of the 13.17 percent antidumping duty on stainless steel plate imports from Japan for a further three years, due to concerns about recurring damage to the domestic industry from unfair pricing.

South Korea’s trade commission had asked the finance ministry to extend the antidumping duties on the given products for five years, as previously reported by SteelOrbis.

The antidumping duty on the products in question was originally imposed in April 2011 and was previously extended in 2016 until December 2019.
