Russia’s stainless steel output down 7.5 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period this year, Russia's stainless steel product output decreased by 7.5 percent year on year to 12,620 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, production of flat cold rolled products decreased by 65.2 percent to 604 mt, while output of long steel products declined by 4.3 percent to 6,504 mt, both on year-on-year basis.

At the same time, production of pipe billets rose by 11.4 percent to 1,805 mt, while output of flat hot rolled products increased by 6.1 percent to 3,707 mt, both year on year.
