Russia’s stainless steel output up 11.4 percent in 2014

In 2014, Russia's stainless steel product output increased by 11.4 percent year on year to 114,195 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, output of flat steel hot rolled products declined by 26.7 percent to 24,955 mt, production of flat cold rolled products decreased by 47.5 percent to 8,116 mt, while output of long steel products declined by 0.7 percent to 52,740 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
 
At the same time, production of tube billets went up by 17.6 percent year on year to 12,213 mt.
