According to the data issued by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), in August this year Russia's imports of the main stainless steel products increased by 9.8 percent compared to July, amounting to 19,912 mt.
Meanwhile, in the first eight months of the current year, Russia increased its stainless steel product imports by about 126 percent compared to the same period of 2009 and by 1.4 percent compared to the same period of 2008, to 121,439 mt.
