Russia's stainless steel exports down 25.6 percent in January

Russia’s stainless steel exports in January this year decreased by 25.6 percent year on year to 203,000 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.
 
In January, Russia’s stainless flat steel product exports decreased by 61 percent, while its seamless stainless pipe exports declined by 7.5 percent, stainless steel billet exports moved down by 24.1 percent and stainless long steel product exports remained stable, all year on year. In the given month, Russia’s stainless steel wire rod exports increased sixfold and electric welded stainless steel pipe imports rose by 24 percent, both compared to the same month of the previous year.
