Koks, one of Russia's largest producers of metallurgical coke, has announced that it is considering exports of coal tar to Japan, South Korea and China.

Specifically, in order to discuss prospects for future cooperation, the Koks plant has lately been visited by a delegation from Japanese industrial conglomerate Sumitomo Corporation. Currently, Koks and Sumitomo are continuing talks on the organization of delivery of a trial batch of coal tar, following which the companies may conclude a long-term supply contract.
