Russia’s foreign trade balance increases

Russia's Economy Ministry indicates that the country's foreign trade balance rose from $61.9 billion in January-September 2004 period to $92.8 billion in January-September 2005 period. Russia's coke shipments fell 23.5 percent year on year to 1.07 million tons in the first nine months of the year. Export of ferroalloys increased 1.4 times, iron and steel semi products rose 16.1 percent and flat rolled 0.8 percent. In addition, Russia's cast iron exports grew 0.4 percent over the same period.
