Russia's ferrous metal export volume up three percent in 2014

In 2014, Russia's ferrous metal export volume (excluding pig iron, scrap and ferroalloys) increased by three percent compared to 2013 to 26.090 million mt, worth a total of $20.522 billion, up 2.3 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

In the given year, Russian exports of pig iron rose by 6.3 percent to 4.359 million mt, while exports of semi-finished steel products increased by one percent to 13.512 million mt, both compared to 2013.
