Russian semi-finished steel exports up 15.8 percent in 2012

In 2012, Russian exports of semi-finished steel products increased by 15.8 percent year on year to 14.8 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).
 
In addition, in 2012 Russian exports of pig iron decreased by 5.9 percent year on year to 4.14 million mt. Of this pig iron export volume, 34 percent was exported to Italy, 18.6 percent was exported to Turkey and 10.8 percent was supplied to the US.
